Sam’s Club is offering discounted Instacart gift cards (e-gift cards, specifically) to Sam’s Club members on the samsclub.com website. Members can purchase up to 2 $100 Instacart e-gift cards for $79.98 each – for a ~20% discount. This offer was previously available last year, as highlighted in my article on the best ways to save on Instacart orders and is similar to the discounted Instacart gift cards at Costco.com offer that is periodically available, so I wanted to surface it for readers who are Sam’s Club members.
A 20% Instacart discount has the potential result of actually saving money (even after tip and delivery fees) versus going to a store. When you pair discounted Instacart gift cards as a form of payment with other discounts, the Instacart savings can really add up. Full offer details can be found below.

How the Offer Works:
- Purchase the discounted Instacart e-gift cards on the Samsclub.com offer page (up to 2 per membership)
- Sam’s Club will email you Instacart e-gift card codes (they say “allow up to 48 hours”, but members report receiving almost instantly). I received mine within minutes.
- These Instacart e-gift cards can be used at instacart.com, “Powered by Instacart” sites, or in the Instacart app by choosing to “add promo or gift card”. The e-gift card can be used on Sam’s Club purchases on Instacart or at other available stores in your area that are on Instacart.
G.E. Note: while the offer page states “max 2 per membership”, that seems to be per order and some Sam’s Club members report being able to purchase more periodically. You can actually purchase an additional 1 (but not 2) gift card immediately in a separate cart transaction for 3 total. I discovered this by attempting to immediately purchase 2 more and I received a “For a period of time, there’s a limit of 3 items per membership and you can only buy 1 more. You can always check back in the near future to buy more.”. It’s unclear how soon the “period of time” resets.
