    Still Rocking the Old Chip

Samsung has released as many as four models in the Galaxy S25 series this year, including the Galaxy S25, S25+, S25 Ultra, and S25 Edge. The South Korean tech giant is now all set to introduce a new variant in the series: the Galaxy S25 FE. Ahead of the official announcement, a handful of things about the Galaxy S24 FE’s successor have already leaked. A British retailer has now jumped the gun and has revealed complete details of the Galaxy S25 FE, including the chip powering it.

The Galaxy S25 FE will have the same old chip as the Galaxy S24 FE

The British supermarket chain Tesco recently listed the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S25 FE on its website, which it took down soon after. The listing included the complete specifications, photos, and color variants of the new Galaxy S25 series model. As per the listing, Samsung will continue to utilize the Exynos 2400e chip inside the Galaxy S25 FE. The same chipset also powers last year’s Galaxy S24 FE model.

Samsung could equip the phone with 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of native storage. On the front, the handset will have a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display, which will likely have the same resolution of 2,340 x 1,080 pixels found on the previous edition. Software-wise, the device will likely boot One UI 8 based on Android 16 out of the box.

The cameras may not get an upgrade

It looks like that, similar to the chip, Samsung may not upgrade the cameras of the Galaxy S25 FE. The phone will reportedly offer the same combination of a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and an 8MP zoom camera. For selfies, the device could continue to feature a 10MP single shooter up front.

If we believe the reports, the Galaxy S25 FE will get a bump in the battery department. Samsung will fit the phone with a slightly larger 4,900mAh battery than its predecessor. The larger power cell will also charge faster with up to 45W fast charging support.

The new leak also indicates that Samsung will offer the Galaxy S25 FE in Jet Black and Ice Blue color variants. That said, Samsung could launch the new FE model later this fall, likely after the iPhone 17 series, with a starting price of around $790.
