Samsung to Bring Two Minimal Changes to Galaxy S26 Ultra Selfie Camera

The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra will, unsurprisingly, have an almost exact same selfie camera setup as its predecessor. There are two rather insignificant differences between the two setups that almost nobody will even notice.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra’s selfie camera brings two tiny changes

The Galaxy S26 Ultra camera specs come from Ice Universe, a well-known tipster. He said that the company will use a 12-megapixel selfie camera from Sony. That will be a 1/3.2-inch sensor size, along with 1.12um pixel size, an f/2.2 aperture, and an 85-degree FoV. So, a Sony sensor will be used instead of an ISOCELL one, but its specs are almost identical.

The other detail in question is: FoV (Field of View). The FoV on the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s selfie camera is 80 degrees. So a 5-degree difference will be available on the Galaxy S26 Ultra, which is, in all honesty, not something many people will notice.

This is not surprising at all, however. Samsung decided to keep the cameras pretty much intact compared to the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Many people were hoping for a revamp, but that’s not happening this time around. We’ll hopefully see notable changes with the Galaxy S27 Ultra.

Samsung even decided to retain that 10-megapixel telephoto camera that includes a tiny 1/3.52-inch sensor, it seems. It will once again have a quad camera setup on the back, led by a 200-megapixel main camera.

The entire Galaxy S26 series will become official on February 25

The Galaxy S26 Ultra will become official on February 25. Samsung already confirmed that the launch event, the very first Unpacked event of the year. The Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ will also launch during that event.

We’ve shared the renders and specs of the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra a while back. A lot more renders surfaced not long after that, showing these Samsung phones, leaving nothing to the imagination, basically.
