    Climate Watch Bird Surveys Commence May 15 
    Looking for an opportunity to make your bird sightings meaningful to Audubon’s climate scientists? Consider adopting a Climate Watch plot and visiting it once between May 15-June 15 in search of target species that have been identified as indicators of environmental shifts. Observers follow a simple protocol and submit data on smart phones either through Audubon’s app or eBird. Learn more here. 

    Desert Rivers Audubon Featured in Birds on the Move Video Series
    Check out the penultimate episode of Audubon’s four-part Birds on the Move video series here to learn about the importance of desert rivers to migratory birds. Audubon Southwest staff shares important aspects of our work, and the Desert Rivers Audubon Society is featured for their new Motus tower at the Riparian Preserve at Gilbert Water Ranch.  Thank you to Past-president Theona Vyvial for discussing tower project, which was funded in part by an Audubon in Action grant from the Spring 2024 cycle!
