Go Fashion net profit down 26% YoY at ₹16.4 crore

Chennai-headquartered Go Fashion (India) reported a net profit of ₹16.4 crore for the quarter ended March 2026, down 26 per cent, as against ₹22.2 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Revenue from operations stood at ₹231 crore, up from ₹228 crore.

The performance for the quarter was impacted by a one-time write-off of property, plant and equipment of around ₹6.5 crore related to store closures.

The listed fashion retailer, with a focus on bottom wear, has been in a transitional phase since Q4 FY26, wherein it has been closing smaller-sized Exclusive Brand Outlets (EBOs) and launching larger 700–800 sqft stores to support broader everyday wear and non-leggings product lines.

Speaking to businessline, Gautam Saraogi, Founder & CEO, Go Fashion, said the company closed approximately 60-65 stores in Q1FY27 and opened about 14. He added that 50-55 smaller stores were being consolidated into large format EBOs, while the remaining involved relocation of stores to better micro markets.

“There will be a few more closures in Q2 and Q3, but it will not be to the same extent, as much of the consolidation phase is now behind us,” he said.

As for the channel mix, Saraogi said both EBOs and Large Format Stores (LFS), which together account for more than 90 per cent of the company’s sales, grew by 2 per cent, while the Multi Brand Outlet (MBO) saw a sharp fall of 40 per cent.

“The entire MBO market has been a little bit of a struggle for us. But our two main primary channels, which are EBO and LFS, have given us consistent growth rates,” he said.

Online sales contributed to 3.6 per cent of Go Faishon’s sales in Q1FY27 and Saraogi said there are long-term aspirations to take its share to 10 per cent.

Interestingly, this is the first time since the consolidation phase was announced that Go Fashion has posted a positive Same Store Sales Growth (SSSG) at 0.6 per cent. Saraogi mentioned that while this is a definite positive, the key will be to maintain a positive SSSG through the year and increase it steadily over time.

Shares of Go Fashion closed the day at ₹346.00, up 7.12 per cent on NSE.
