The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 specs have just surfaced, courtesy of Anthony, a tipster. The information was shared via X, and it does include quite a few details. Let’s get into it.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 specs have just appeared in a leak

The tipster claims that the Galaxy Z Fold 8 will feature an 8-inch main display and a 6.5-inch cover panel. Both of those displays will be 120Hz Dynamic AMOLED displays, we’re presuming LTPO ones, as that was not mentioned. In other words, that’s the same size and refresh rate the Galaxy Z Fold 7 offers. A dual-layer UTG (ultra-thin glass) is also mentioned for the main panel.

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy chip will fuel the device. That’s an overclocked version of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, and a chip that Samsung already used in the Galaxy S26 series.

The phone will allegedly get a bigger battery, but still not up to par with the competition

A 5,000mAh battery will allegedly be used in the Galaxy Z Fold 8, which would be an improvement over a 4,400mAh battery in the current-gen model. That battery is still not on par with some of the competition. The OPPO Find N6, for example, has a 6,000mAh battery, while the HONOR Magic V6 includes a 6,600mAh unit. We presume that Samsung is sticking with Li-Ion batteries, and that it won’t use a silicon-carbon one.

Samsung will, allegedly, improve charging, though. The Galaxy Z Fold 8 will support 45W wired charging compared to 25W charging in the Galaxy Z Fold 7, says the tipster.

The device will arrive in 12GB and 16GB RAM models with 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage options. Vapor chamber cooling will be on board as well, and the same goes for a laser-drilled display metal support plate, presumably for improved crease control.

It will get a new ultrawide camera

A 200-megapixel main camera (1/1.3-inch sensor size) is also mentioned, presumably the same one as on the Galaxy Z Fold 7. A 50-megapixel ultrawide camera will also be used, as will a 10-megapixel telephoto camera (3x optical zoom). So a new ultrawide camera will be included.

The tipster also mentioned that the Galaxy Z Fold 8 will be thinner and lighter than the current-gen model Samsung offers.
