Tech companies love to keep the best software features exclusive to their brand-new, flagship hardware for a while. Samsung did exactly that when it introduced its latest Galaxy S26 series earlier this year, leaving owners of the previous generation wondering when they would get a taste of the new artificial intelligence tools. Fortunately, that waiting game might be coming to an end very soon. A recent leak suggests the Galaxy S25 series will get two major Galaxy S26 AI features.

Galaxy S26 AI notifications headed to Galaxy S25 series

According to fresh rumors by tech tipster Tarun Vats, said features will arrive with an upcoming June 2026 software update for Galaxy S25 phones. The targeted devices apparently include the standard Galaxy S25, the S25+, the S25 Edge, and the top-tier Galaxy S25 Ultra (via SamMobile).

The two incoming upgrades focus entirely on fixing one of the most frustrating aspects of modern smartphone life: clearing out a cluttered notification shade. The first tool, called Priority Notifications, uses on-device intelligence to sort through your incoming alerts and automatically push the messages that actually matter straight to the top of your stack. The second feature, Summarize Notifications, takes massive walls of text or long chat threads and condenses them into short, easily readable bullet points. This way, you can catch up in seconds.

Turning a routine patch into a feature drop

This software shift is a breath of fresh air for users. Samsung recently started rolling out the stable One UI 8.5 update to older devices. So, early adopters noted that the platform transition lacked several of the shiny new AI tricks debuted by the current generation. In fact, early stages of the One UI rollout suffered from some annoying performance bugs. The list of issues includes a broken color palette in Google apps and changing contrast while playing videos.

Of course, Samsung is still keeping a few cards close to its chest. S25 owners shouldn’t expect the entire Galaxy S26 ecosystem to jump backward just yet. Features like the AI-driven Now Nudges, enhanced Finder capabilities, and the highly discussed 24MP camera shooting option are rumored to stay exclusive to the newest models for a little while longer.
