According to a new rumor, the Vivo X300 Ultra will launch in March with Sony’s flagship 200-megapixel camera, while the OPPO Find X9 Ultra will follow in April. The information comes from Digital Chat Station, one of the most prominent tipsters in the business.
The Vivo X300 Ultra is said to launch in the second half of March
The Vivo X300 Ultra could launch in the second half of March, by the way. When Digital Chat Station releases information, it’s usually related to the Chinese market. So this is when it will arrive to China.
There is a chance Vivo will launch both Chinese and global models at the same time, though, it remains to be seen. We cannot be sure, as the previous ‘Ultra’ devices from the company did not launch outside of China. This time around, a global model is expected.
In any case, the tipster has also confirmed that the phone will feature Sony’s new flagship 200-megapixel camera aka the Sony LYT-901 for its primary unit. A 200-megapixel camera will also be used for the periscope telephoto unit, Samsung’s HPB sensor. That camera will offer a 3.5x optical zoom.

He also mentioned that Vivo will utilize the strongest ultrawide camera in the smartphone industry, but the tipster did not reveal any details about that camera. It could be a 50-megapixel camera with Sony’s LYT-828 sensor, though, based on previous rumors. Do note that a dual lens teleconverter kit was rumored recently as well, and the tipster just mentioned it again.
What about the OPPO Find X9 Ultra? Well, it’s said to arrive in April. We’re not sure when, but at some point in that month. That handset will also get a global version, and the global version could launch at the same time as the Chinese one.
The OPPO Find X9 Ultra is also expected to have an immensely powerful camera setup, and could also make use of the Sony LYT-901 camera. These two phones will probably be amongst the most powerful camera smartphones in 2026.
