The Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 Classic is due to be unveiled this Summer in one size, according to a new rumor, alongside new phones from the company. It’ll reportedly be one of three different smartwatch models the company plans to offer with this next iteration of the lineup. In addition to the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic, Samsung plans to launch the Galaxy Watch 8 and the Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025).
Samsung has offered more than one size of several Galaxy Watch models for the past few years. Save for the Galaxy Watch Ultra and the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. Both of which came in one size. Its past Classic models, however, have typically offered a smaller size and a larger size. Rumors of the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic coming in one size aren’t new, but that rumor is now being reinforced, suggesting that past rumors about this specification are likely true.
The Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 Classic will only be offered in a 46mm size
According to a post from @MysteryLupin on X on June 17, Samsung is only going to offer the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic in a 46mm size. This rumor popped up in early June, so seeing it pop up again from a different source isn’t too surprising. It’s worth mentioning, too, that @MysteryLupin is usually accurate with their leaks. So this would appear to cement that rumor in stone as an official detail about the watch.
Earlier this morning, we exclusively reported additional Galaxy Watch 8 series details, which included the sizes of both the Galaxy Watch 8 and the Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025). That report also includes colors for each watch, as well as several leaked images that showcase the designs.
Samsung will still offer LTE and Wi-Fi models of the Classic model
In addition to mentioning the size of the watch, the leak/rumor also mentions connectivity options. As is usually the case, Samsung will offer two connectivity options. One will be Bluetooth and Wi-Fi only. The other will be LTE, allowing you to connect to the internet without your phone on you.
This hasn’t really changed in several years. There would also be no reason for Samsung not to offer an LTE option for all models. However, the Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025) is likely to be LTE-only. Just like its predecessor.
