If you were thinking of picking up Apple’s new iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max models, it’s pretty much guaranteed that you’ll be able to snag the phones via the major carriers. But what if you’re shopping for a better deal? A better plan? Well, two MVNOs just announced they will be carrying the new iPhone 18 Pro phones.
Get the iPhone 18 Pro from two MVNOs
If you’re looking for an alternative to the major carriers for the iPhone 18 Pro, two MVNOs, Boost Mobile and RedPocket, have announced that they will be selling both phones on their networks. But the question is, are these deals better or cheaper than what you’re paying for now?
Starting with Boost Mobile, the carrier is offering customers up to $200 off the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max if they port their existing number over. They will also need to subscribe to Boost Mobile’s Unlimited Premium plan, which costs $60 a month. If you’d rather not port your existing number over, that discount drops to $100, which is still decent. You’ll also need to subscribe to the $60/month Unlimited Premium plan as well.
As for RedPocket, the carrier is selling the iPhone 18 Pro unlocked for $1,199 with 256GB of storage. However, you have the option of paying $55 a week through Katapult. If you prefer the larger Pro Max model, that will cost $1,299 unlocked or $60 a week through Katapult. The deals themselves aren’t particularly amazing, but RedPocket’s plans are pretty affordable.
The carrier offers plans as low as $10 a month to $30 a month. For the $30 a month plan, that includes 50GB of high-speed data and 10GB of 5G Premium Hotspot data. You also get unlimited calls to over 80 countries and roaming in over 60 countries.
Are these good deals?
Usually signing with a big carrier like AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon will nab you some pretty good deals on the phones themselves. However, the plans are where they get you. So with these MVNOs, you might have to fork out more money upfront for the phones. However, you do save money on the plans.
If you’re not looking for anything fancy and just want a plan that gets you online and makes calls, maybe these MVNOs could be worth taking a look at.
