Sony has announced the Prism Collection for the PS5, bringing in new options for PS5 DualSense controllers and PS5 console covers to customize the look of your setup. The Prism Collection is its latest set of accessories for the PS5 platform, introducing a transparent design that has been getting more and more popular these past couple of years.
There are three new controllers to choose from, and a set of matching console covers for the PS5. The colors of the new controllers and console covers are Emerald Green, Graphite Gray, and Flame Orange, and both the controllers and the covers incorporate a mix of transparent and matte finish elements. The console covers, for example, will feature transparent designs for the top half, while the bottom half uses a matte finish. Meanwhile, the controllers will feature transparent shells for basically the entire controller, save for the small portion that surrounds the joysticks and mic mute button.
The PS5 Prism collection doesn’t launch until the first part of 2027
If these new colors excite you, you’ll be waiting a little while to get your hands on them. Sony has confirmed that both the new DualSense controller colors and the matching console covers are launching next year. Specifically, they’re launching starting on February 4, 2027.
However, interested buyers will be able to place their pre-orders for any of them beginning on November 10, 2026, starting at 10AM local time when the products go live directly from PlayStation and retail partners. Sony confirms that things will be a bit different for consumers in the US though. Pre-orders open at 7AM PT/10AM ET direct from PlayStation, while it’s 10AM local time in other regions.
The new DualSense controller colors will retail for $84.99 in the US, while the matching console covers will retail for $74.99. The console covers will also be exclusive to the PlayStation Direct online store, but only in the regions where it’s available. This includes the US, UK, France, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Spain, Portugal, and Italy.
