The Central Railway will run four special suburban trains on the intervening night of April 13 and 14 to facilitate movement of commuters on the occasion of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti, officials said on Saturday.
The special services will run on both the Main Line and Harbour Line during late-night hours, the CR said in a release.
On the Main Line, a special train will depart from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) at 1.30 am on April 14 and reach Kalyan at 3.00 am. In the opposite direction, another special train will leave Kalyan at 1.30 am and arrive at CSMT at 3.00 am, it said.
It further said that on the Harbour Line, a special train will depart CSMT at 1.30 am and reach Panvel at 2.50 am. A corresponding return service will leave Panvel at 1.30 am and arrive at CSMT at 2.50 am.
Officials said that suburban services on April 14 will otherwise run as per the normal schedule.
