    Nothing Headphones (1) Specs Leak

After publishing official renders of Nothing’s rather unique-looking Phone (3) yesterday, we now have the official specs for its first pair of over-ear headphones, thanks to Yogesh Brar. A month ago, Nothing confirmed they were working on and were releasing in the Summer.

The new over-ear headphones from Nothing will weigh in at 329g, which is quite a bit heavier than the Sony WH-1000XM6, which are about 252g. But they are lighter than the Apple AirPods Max, which are 384g. Nothing has said that these headphones are going to be better than the AirPods Max.

As far as sound goes, Nothing has crammed 40mm drivers into these headphones, and has partnered with KEF for the sound. For those unaware, KEF is a British company that designs and manufactures high-end audio equipment, and it primarily focuses on speakers, subs, and headphones. KEF is pretty well-known for its innovative audio technologies. And it makes sense for Nothing to work with KEF, as Samsung already has Harman Kardon, AKG, and JBL with their audio products, thanks to Samsung’s Harman purchase a few years ago.

Up to 80 hours of playback

Nothing does also note that with ANC off you’ll get about 80 hours of battery life, with ANC on that is cut down to about 35 hours, and that’s with AAC. With LDAC codec being used, the times change to 54 hours with ANC off and 30 hours with ANC on.

Google Fast Pair is supported on the Nothing Headphones (1). Along with on-head detection, Microsoft Swift Pair, Dual Connection, LED charging status, low lag mode, personal sound profile, and Find My Device. Nothing really through everything into these headphones, ironically.

These headphones are set to be announced on July 1, alongside the Nothing Phone (3).
