I recently moved one of our mobile plans to an Unlimited Mint Mobile plan and so far, so good. I was very happy to discover that they recently quietly upped their monthly premium data allotment (prior to possible network congestion de-prioritization) and doubled the monthly hotspot data allotment on their Unlimited plan – without any price increases. In fact, the Unlimited plan is currently on sale for 50% off (selling for just $15 per month), when you prepay for 3, 6, or 12 months. More details on the Unlimited plan and its improvements below. In addition to being an actual paying Mint Mobile customer, I also take part in their affiliate partner program, so I may receive a commission if you use the links in this article to sign up for service.

Mint Mobile Unlimited Plan Details

The 2 Unlimited plan improvements that recently just kicked in are:

  1. The monthly mobile hotspot limit went from 10GB to 20GB.
  2. The monthly data de-prioritization threshold increased from 35GB to 50GB used (de-prioritization is a monthly threshold that when hit, could then result in slower speeds at times of congestion).

A 20GB data hotspot and 50GB of guaranteed premium data before possible de-prioritization for a (currently) $15 Unlimited plan is as good as it gets. The Unlimited Mint Mobile plan also comes with Unlimited talk, text, and data, free calling to Mexico, Canada, and the UK, plus free Wi-Fi calling.

Mint has a number of deeply discounted phones at the moment as well that all come with 1 year of the Unlimited plan included. I’ll also continue updating my list of the best Mint Mobile promotions on a monthly basis.
