Building a quick interactive web app inside Gemini is easy enough, but sharing it with real people used to be surprisingly clunky. Google is finally solving that headache by adding a direct export button that pushes your Gemini creations straight into Google Sites. This new feature turns interactive AI tools into published web pages without forcing you to write or copy any code.
A one-click bridge from chat to web page
According to Google, the new export process bypasses manual coding workarounds and messy embeds entirely. Once you build a custom calculator, quiz, or team dashboard inside Gemini, you simply select Export and pick Google Sites. Gemini then automatically spins up a private draft site where your app stays fully interactive right out of the box.
Inside the Google Sites draft, you can easily tweak the page layout, add heading text, or drop in supporting files from Google Drive. Teachers can quickly turn an AI-generated study quiz into a clean classroom resource without rebuilding the layout by hand. Work teams can also share interactive performance trackers across their company without telling everyone to dig through a long chatbot chat.
Zero admin hassles and widespread account access
Deploying these web tools does not require system administrators to flip any new switches inside the Google Admin Console. As long as users already have standard permissions to create and edit Google Sites, the new export option appears automatically in their account. The feature respects existing organization privacy rules, meaning you can publish your app publicly or restrict it strictly to your team.
Google is rolling out this option across desktop browsers as well as official Android and iOS mobile apps. The integration is available to paid Google Workspace subscribers, Workspace Individual accounts, and free personal Google accounts with Gemini access. Giving personal account holders access means students and hobbyists can publish interactive web projects without paying for expensive hosting tools.
Taking AI experiments out of isolated chat windows
Connecting generative AI tools directly to core productivity apps saves a massive amount of time for everyday users. Moving interactive creations straight into a collaborative web builder makes AI feel far more practical for real-world projects. Instead of letting clever calculators and dashboard ideas sit buried in chat history, users can now launch them as real websites in seconds.
