Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu receiving Bill Gates, Chairman of Gates Foundation, in the State Secretariat in Amaravati on Monday

Bill Gates, Chairman of Gates Foundation and co-founder of Microsoft, visited Andhra Pradesh capital Amravati on Monday along with his delegation of six representatives from the Gates Foundation.

Accompanied by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Bill Gates visited the Real-Time Governance Centre (RTGS) at the Secretariat where Naidu explained his various initiatives of the NDA Government in the State on e-governance and AI-driven citizen services.

A meeting was also with Bill Gates and his delegation along with ministers and secretaries of various departments where the progressed the projects being implemented with the Gate’s Foundation was reviewed. The discussions also touched upon the scope for expanding projects undertaken by the state government in the fields of education, healthcare and agriculture with the support of the Gates Foundation.

Naidu also gave a a presentation on the objectives of Swarna Andhra Vision 2047, public health, agriculture, education and reforms implemented across various sectors. He explain initiatives related to MedTech, diagnostic services, precision farming and other projects. In particular, the state government will present details of the Sanjeevani Project, which is being implemented with the support of the Gates Foundation.

Bill Gates and his team along with the Chief Minister visited an agricultural farm near Undavalli village in Amaravati to observe farming practices being carried out with the help of AI-based technologies, according to a release.
