    Business Buzz: FMWF Chamber announces members of its 2025-2026 leadership program – InForum

    FARGO — The Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Chamber of Commerce has has selected 40 professionals from the business community for its 2025-2026 Leadership Fargo Moorhead West Fargo program.

    The class represents a cross-section of industries, professions, experiences and perspectives, united by a shared commitment to progress, connection and personal growth. Over the next year, they’ll embark on a journey through immersive sessions, impactful conversations and unique opportunities to learn from and with our region’s top leaders.

    Participants will build an impactful, long-lasting network of other leaders while sharpening their own leadership capabilities, exploring many challenges and opportunities of our community, and contributing to the vitality of our region through Community Change Initiatives.

    LFMWF class sessions are held monthly, with the program kicking off in August and concluding the following May.

    NDSU to host Financial Markets Day April 30

    FARGO — North Dakota State University will host the seventh annual Financial Markets Day from 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 30.

    This event, which is free and open to the public, will explore current U.S. financial trends and showcase different career paths in finance. Those interested can attend virtually or in person at Barry Hall, 811 2nd Ave. N.

    This event is co-sponsored by the Sheila and Robert Challey Institute for Global Innovation and Growth and the CFA Society of Minnesota.

    In the first session, Steve Kaplan, the Neubauer Family Distinguished Service Professor of Entrepreneurship and Finance at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and the Thomas Cole Distinguished Visiting Professor Chair at the University of Chicago Law School, will speak about private equity and financial markets.

    Session two will feature a Q&A between Kaplan, Cory Markling, a partner at Eisner Advisory Group, and Kevin Prunty, senior managing director at Longwater Capital Solutions. The panel will focus on the different aspects of private equity including research, advisory, and ownership in lower-middle market companies.

    At 5 p.m., a reception will be held for in-person attendees.
