Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh unveiled RANGEELA Contemporary Indian Vodka today as co-founder and creative partner of ABD Maestro Pvt. Ltd., the super-premium spirits subsidiary of Allied Blenders and Distillers Limited. The homegrown vodka brand marks Singh’s entrepreneurial venture in India’s growing premium spirits market.
RANGEELA has launched in Maharashtra at ₹2,400 for a 750ml bottle, with plans to expand to Goa, West Bengal, and North India shortly. The vodka is triple-distilled and platinum chill-filtered, positioning itself in the premium segment of India’s rapidly expanding vodka category.
Singh described the brand as celebrating Indian culture’s vibrant and expressive spirit, targeting consumers who are confident and unafraid of bold self-expression. Bikram Basu, managing director of ABD Maestro, emphasized the brand’s focus on quality and innovative packaging, calling it a disruptive entry in the category.
The product is marketed as versatile for both neat consumption and cocktails, with the brand playfully renaming classic drinks with Bollywood-inspired names such as “Bandra Barbie” for Cosmopolitan and “Latte Lag Gai” for Espresso Martini.
ABD Maestro’s portfolio includes other premium brands like Arthaus Blended Malt Scotch Whisky, Zoya Gin, and Woodburns Contemporary Indian Malt Whisky. The company also distributes Russian Standard Vodka in India through a partnership with Roust Corporation. The launch comes as India’s vodka market experiences premiumisation driven by young adults and growing cocktail culture.
